Historic Landmark
If you’re envisioning a wedding that will look both timeless and elegant or if you’re drawn to the history of a location, a historic landmark is a great place to consider saying your “I do’s”. The Elm Estate dates back to the 1880s as Reno’s old dairy farm. The house has been remodeled, but the unmistakable landmark remains with every detail on the house revived to perfection. Barn
The Elm Estate may not physically be a barn but it does have some elements that could combine the rustic barn look with the elegance of The Elm Estate. With an 80 ft by 53 ft indoor event space, it’s the perfect space for you to make it look exactly as you imagined it. Our farm tables are the perfect addition to making this look like a dream barn.
Outdoors
Being able to get married outside is one of the many benefits of getting married in Reno! With over 300 days of sunshine, your idea of having an outdoor wedding can come true… Of course with the cooler weather, you may want to consider having your ceremony outside and then bringing the party indoors. The Elm Estate is the perfect setting to get that indoor/outdoor experience. With 10 acres of surrounding property, we have 4 beautiful locations for you to say your vows, and plenty of hidden getaway areas (like our private river access) to take a moment, get your photos, and then join the rest of the party.
Destination Wedding
You may consider the areas surrounding the Reno area like Lake Tahoe or even California to be the number one spot for a destination wedding, but that’s what makes having your wedding in Reno so convenient! With the mix of Reno’s location being only an hour away from Tahoe and 4 hours from San Francisco, and the price of venues in Reno typically being lower than in California, it is the perfect combination for a destination wedding. Here at The Elm Estate, you’ll find that the location really takes you away from feeling like you’re in Reno. As mentioned before, with 10 acres of surrounding property, you’re really in Reno’s Hidden Gem. If you are planning on sealing your love in the Biggest Little City and you have family coming from out of town looking for a place to stay – The Elm Estate’s sister property, the River West Resort has 12 cottages that can all be rented to have the whole party stay and make your wedding a weekend to remember.
