When’s the best time of the year to get married at The Elm Estate? The short answer is… it’s always the best time to get married at The Elm Estate! The property holds so much variety that different things come to life at different times of year. Spring At The Elm Estate
Spring is such a special time of year. People start emerging from their hibernation. As the days get warmer, people start looking forward to seeing the world bloom. We LOVE spring at The Elm Estate as the traces of winter fade and the trees begin to blossom. With the weather still dipping to the lower temperatures in early spring, we would recommend an outdoor ceremony with an indoor reception. If the weather permits, you can plan for cocktail hour outside, but with the ease of our indoor/outdoor patio, we can easily provide the perfect backup plan to take it inside if your guests are feeling the cold. We also have our fire pits, which get excellent use in the spring. As the days start getting longer, and you and your guests want to make the most of the outdoor space we can turn those heaters up and everyone can enjoy!
Summer At The Elm Estate
A guaranteed outdoor venue, The Elm Estate offers so much in the summer. We love to see our couples tying the knot in front of the grand entrance of the Elm House under the shaded trees. The summer brings later ceremonies with some magical light that pours onto the property. Typically, summertime in Nevada also means fire season. However, at The Elm Estate, we are just far enough from the typical fire areas, you can be sure you’ve picked the right place to have your wedding, instead of worrying that your wedding might get cancelled due to the fires. If the air quality becomes an issue, outside ceremonies can be turned into inside ceremonies and no health or beautiful ceremony is compromised. On the higher chance that the smoke will not impact your big day, we know summer weddings to be full of so much joy and love!
Fall At The Elm Estate
Whether they admit it or not, we think most people love fall. It might symbolize the end of the warm Reno evenings but it brings the buzz of the approaching holidays. The leaves change colors, the air cools down and the days are shorter. We’re so lucky that fall in Reno brings so much beauty to The Elm Estate as the setting is surrounded by so much nature. With fall, you can really play around with so many colors and really lean into the season’s themes. Pumpkin table decorations, earthy bridal party tones and gorgeous accessories for the cooler evenings.
Winter At The Elm Estate
While the colder weather may not be some couples’ cup of tea, winter is such a magical time to get married. While there is no guarantee of a white wedding… We can guarantee romantic lighting, a warm place to party, and a property that looks straight out of a Christmas card.
