What is the capacity of The Elm Estate for weddings?
Up to 260 guests.
Is the venue available year-round?
Yes.
What months are considered peak season?
May, June, July, August, September, and October.
What is your off-peak season?
January, February, March, April, November, and December.
What’s included in the venue rental?
Use of the historic Elm House and surrounding grounds, tables and chairs, table linens and napkins, In-house venue coordinator, access to beauty lounge and billiard room areas, outdoor ceremony locations with seating, reception seating, setup and cleanup, processional practice, dance floor, and on-site parking.
Do you provide decoration?
We have several in-house decor options our clients can choose from including table numbers, LED candles, gold votives, glass hurricanes, bud vases, frames, and card boxes. We also have a catalog of enhancement decor rentals our clients can add on for an extra cost, like special furniture pieces, ceremony arches, marquee letters, and more.
Booking & Planning
How far in advance should we book?
We recommend booking your wedding venue at least 12 months in advance. This allows plenty of time to plan and book vendors.

Do you have wedding packages?
Yes, we have three main packages: Diamond, Luxury and Elegant packages are available to customize according to your needs.
What do you require for a deposit?
A 50% deposit of the venue fee along with a signed contract is required to reserve your date.
What is your price range?
Our pricing ranges from $10,500 – $45,000. The pricing greatly depends on time of year, day of the week, and the package.
How many hours are included in our booking?
Between 11–14 hours, depending on your package and event timeline.
Do we need to get wedding insurance?
Yes! Couples can go through their home owner’s insurance or they can purchase the insurance using a link to EventHelper we provide during the planning process. Insurance averages about $150.
Are there any other fees involved with booking your venue?
A $2,000 refundable security deposit is due 30 days before the event. It may be used to cover damages, unpaid rentals, cleaning fees, contract violations, or other related costs.
Catering and Bar
Can I bring my own catering?
Outside catering is not permitted. We are partnered with a few fantastic caterers in the Reno area, and our clients are required to choose one of them for catering. We have done our best to partner with catering companies who are professional, great to work with, and provide excellent food and service.
Can I bring my own alcohol?
Outside alcohol is not allowed. Our team will help customize your bar experience through our bar packages.
How much does the bar cost?
The cost is based on guest count, so we will provide a quote after discussing your wedding further.
Can I hire my own bar service staff?
We include bar staffing with all of our bar packages, including bartenders and floaters to ensure a smooth event.
Vendors & Restrictions
Can we bring our own vendors?
We require you to use our catering partner services and in-house bar services. However, you are allowed to hire an outside vendor who is not on our preferred vendor list, such as DJ, florist, or makeup artist, as long as they are insured and licensed.
Do you have a preferred vendor list?
Yes, our list includes vendors who are familiar with our venue and standards.
Are there noise restrictions or a curfew?
All events and music must end no later than 10:00 pm in order to comply with sound ordinances.
Logistics & Guest Experience
Is there on-site parking?
Yes, complimentary self-parking is available on-site.
Are there overnight accommodations at the estate?

Is the venue ADA accessible?
Yes, our facilities are fully ADA compliant.
Are pets permitted at the venue?
We love furry friends! While pets aren’t allowed on the property, service animals are always welcome. We’re happy to help include your pets in your special day in other creative ways.
Ceremony & Reception Specifics
Can I extend my rental time?
Yes, additional hours can be added to your rental for $1,500 per hour.
What happens if I need to postpone or cancel?
Deposits are non-refundable. Exceptions may be made at the owner’s discretion.
What if the weather is bad?
We offer flexible indoor and covered options, so there’s always a plan B (and C).
