Summer is over and fall is here! This doesn’t mean the fun stops in Reno! With the cooler weather, the cozy fall vibes, we’re ready to keep on going with the events and we’ve gathered a bunch of Reno’s best events to check out this September.
Rib Cook Off
If you’re a foodie and you’ve been searching for the country’s best ribs… This may be the event for you. The six-day festival features 20+ of the country’s high-volume rib cookers! All competing for the Best of the West title! Click here to purchase tickets.
Burning Man
This once-a-year annual festival returns and it’s set to be a huge comeback year after covid cancellations. Bringing in tens of thousands of people from all over the world, set in Nevada’s black rock desert, this event is a bucket list item for sure. With people gathering in Reno before and after heading out to the desert it’s a sure time to see wild and wacky displays that are associated with Burning Man.

Hot Air Balloon Races
Located just 2 miles from downtown Reno is the world’s largest FREE hot air balloon festival. Sep 9- Sep 11 gather around to watch the spectacular takeoff of over 60 balloons. Western Night At The Elm Estate
Grab your boots and join us for a night of line dancing. After the success of the past few Western nights at The Elm Estate we’ve gathered our vendors together, booked our teachers and we’re ready to go for another round. It seems like Reno can’t get enough of the Cowboy theme and we can certainly see why. Happy hour, food trucks and dancing… you wouldn’t want to miss this. Get your tickets here.
Beyond Van Gough
Throughout the whole month of September, you can go and experience the immersive Van Gough exhibition at the convention center. The exhibition has traveled the world and we are so excited about it coming to Reno. A great experience for the whole family to attend. Street Vibrations
September 22nd- 25th- Music, metal, and motorcycles. Attracting over 50,000 motorcycle riders each year, this is the place to be if you’re into your two-wheel drives. Taking place in Reno, Virginia City, and Truckee this event offers so much fun for participants and spectators. The windy roads that lead you from town to town are said to be the perfect cruising experience for the riders. With daily events, competitions, and fun to be had this is an event worth checking out.
