Most people don’t realize the inaugural Oktoberfest was centered around a German royal wedding. The community was invited to celebrate in the gardens and the celebration was so great it became tradition. Bringing people together in community and love is what we believe in. Our German roots – and love for great beer and brats – drives our work ethic and our dedication to our community.
Since we had our first event here this Spring, I’ve been eager to invite the community and create lasting relationships with our incredible vendors nearby. When Mark Estee said he’d provide the food – it was a done deal. Oktoberfest at The Elm Estate is our inaugural event by design. This is a celebration that’s so close to our hearts. My husband, Manfred is a German native and the heart and soul of this property.
His signature is on everything from the gates to the business card holders. He’s a maker – a tool maker and tinkerer and he devotes himself to every detail here. This celebration is to honor him and this community that’s welcomed us with open arms. We hope everyone will come out and join us to celebrate with great beer and gorgeous weather.
The Elm Estate will host the 21-and-over folk festival October 6 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. in collaboration with eight local breweries, Liberty Food & Wine Exchange, and with live music from local band Jelly Bread. Tickets are available online and in advance for $35 or at the door for $40. The unlimited access tickets include unlimited beer tastings, authentic German cuisine, games, contests, and more.
